Lunch & Learn

April - Industrial Robot Arms 🤖🦾

Friday, April 19 at 1pm ET, 12pm CT, 11am MT, 10am PT, and 7am HST

 

Join us for an insightful panel discussion on industrial robot arms in making spaces. We will cover topics including how to get a robot arm up and running in a shop, what types of projects these machines are being used for, who is using them, how users are trained, different types of end effectors, and so much more. 


Our panel discussion features the following experts who are driving innovation in their respective institutions including:


  • Drake Schaefer, Resource Coordinator for Thomas Jefferson University College of Architecture and the Built Environment. Drake oversees multiple labs and teaches architectural model making.

  • Rachel Vroman, Director for the Harvard University Graduate School of Design’s Digital Fabrication Laboratory. Rachel has a background in architecture and extensive experience at GSD.

  • Kurt Brosnan, Shop Manager for Cornell University College of Architecture Art and Planning. Kurt has experience in manufacturing as well as architecture with deep roots in digital fabrication.

  • Bill Bergman, Fabrication Shop Manager for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture. Bill comes from a fine arts background and has been at RPI SOA since 2007.
